Worth the Hype? Wet N’ Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

Hot or Not: Wet N' Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

As I have mentioned before, I am not a huge lover of drugstore makeup. You can read all the whole explanation as to why HERE, but long story short I want to spend my money on products I can touch and use and feel and fall in love with before I buy, and the drugstore just doesn’t give me that luxury. So something has to really catch my attention to get me to make a trip to an actual drugstore to pick something up. That was the case with these Wet N’ Wild highlighters. I had seen them popping up all over Instagram and Youtube and my love of highlighters drove me head to Walgreens and invest in these bad boys.

I always hear people talking about how fantastic Wet N’ Wild is but I have to be honest, I haven’t bought a Wet N’ Wild product since I was about 12 years old. I have been curious for a while to try a Wet N’ Wild product again, but I didn’t want to buy a random shadow palette I won’t actually use, so these highlighters were just what I was looking for.

I got it in both shades, Precious Petals and Crown of My Canopy. When I initially swatched them, I gotta admit, it wasn’t love at first sight. Crown of My Canopy is much too bronze to be a highlight on my skin tone, its much more a of a blush topper. Precious Petals is a shimmery peachy highlight, and while the swatch didn’t impress me, once I put it on my face I really liked it! It goes on smoothly and lasts. This highlighter can hang with some of my favorite, much more expensive, high end highlighters. I highly recommend snagging it in Precious Petals if you get the chance.
