Affordable Skin Care Routine for Very Dry Skin

Honestly, my skin can be such a pain. It is dry. And not just like, “Oh I gotta moisturize so I am not dry.” dry. Dry like if I don’t baby it like it requires, I will be peeling and that’s not a good look. I have been through so many different products, both high-end and drugstore, to find the wining combination to make my skin cooperate. Everyone’s skin is a little different and obviously all my favorite products won’t be yours. But My skin care routine has been my jam lately so I need to share.

Face Wash

For me, keeping my dry skin under control start with NOT drying it out with my face fash. I have been through it with all sorts of high end and drugstore “moisturizing” cleansers. The Aveeno Positively Radiant Scrub is my favorite! Bonus, the price is right! Check it out here.

Toner

Okay, admittedly this is NOT the most affordable product. But by comparison to some high end toners out there, $24 isn’t too bad. But this is worth EVERY PENNY! This toner does such a great job of keeping my skin clear, smooth, and even without drying it out. If you are going to splurge on anything, this is where to do it! Check it out here.

Facial Spray

A facial spray certainly isn’t a mandatory step in your skin care routine but I really love Mario Badescu Facial Sprays. After a good washing, and toning a little mist goes a long way in soothing and my skin. Plus is just feels kinda luxurious and spa-like and I am into it. Check it out here!

Moisturizer #1

Yes. Moisturizer #1 of 2. I find that more layers of one lotion is not as good as layering 2 different ones. Because I CANNOT get down with breakouts I use Clean and Clear Acne Control Moisturizer. Alone, it is not enough moisture for my skin, but as a first layer I really love it and it definitely helps keep my skin clearer. Check it out here.

Moisturizer #2

I was about to call this moisturizer the “real star” of my skin care routine. BUT I just love ALL these products so much. I happened upon this L’Oreal Collagen Moisture Filler on a display at Target and was pretty surprised by how thick and moisturizing it was on my hand. For less than $10 I had to bring it home. I LOVE IT! I have used tons of high end moisturizers to try to find some relief for the dryness but this is by far my current favorite. Check it out here.
